There once was a person in my life,
Whose steadfast and vexing presence caused a bit of strife,
Confrontation was not her cup of tea,
Though past my emotions and impulses I could not see.
The start of our journey was so pleasant,
Our friendship had a glow quite incandescent.
Men and their shortcomings caused us to hoot and howl,
We burned the midnight oil with stories of dates so foul.
But as any good story should tell,
Dysfunction and conflict upon us fell.
We spiraled down this ever deepening path,
Of awkward moments, icy stares, and roommate wrath.
Ours was a roller coaster ride,
We tried to grin and bear the frustrations in stride.
But we cannot ignore,
The downs, ups and squabbles on the ground floor.
So let’s settle the score once and for all,
Who is the mightiest princess of them all?
Just kidding, that’s not right at all.
Together we’ll work to make things right once and for all.
