New Facts about Spain

1. Spanish people are absolutely beautiful. Guys and girls. The girls are very naturally pretty, no bleached blondes, not much make-up, etc.

2. It is perfectly normal to buy drugs from stragglers roaming beaches in Ibiza.

3. Breakfast starts at 7 or 8 am and lasts until 10 am. Then lunch is from 2 to 4, 5 pm and dinner lasts from 9 to 11, 12ish. If you try to eat outside those times you will be largely unsuccessful.

4. Sangria is delicious.

5. El Dia San Juan - a festival where throngs of locals, other Spaniards, and tourists celebrate on the beach with bonfires, food and alcohol (there are people literally just drinking out of wine bottles), dancing in terraces and even skinny-dipping in less-than-optimal temperatures in the ocean.

6. I saw a Dacia Logan on the highway.

7. Say you need to frequent a pharmacy. The one right down the street might be closed, even though it's 4 PM. Skip down a bloc or two and the pharmacy there will be open. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for store hours.

8. Barcelona is an incredibly lively city. And an incredibly massive and beautiful one.

9. Catalonian Spanish is so melodious. It has a French influence and is the closest language to Italian.

I will blog about the rest of the trip, including my date with a Spaniard :)
