Spain

This Friday I'm about to embark on an exciting adventure that's out of this world! Just kidding. But I am going to Spain. 8 days of great food, great culture, fantastic clubbing, hot Euro dudes, adventures and debauchery. Barcelona and Ibiza, two of the most exciting cities to visit! I would be counting down the hours if I didn't have so much to do before then. In the meantime, to satisfy your Spain appetite, I've compiled a list of interesting facts about Spain. Enjoy!

1. "Spain has one of Europe's highest rates of AIDS." Eeek!

2. The nightlife is hoping in Spain with 344,000 bars!! Though I won't be able to hit them all during my trip, I figure I can get through about 30, 40% right?

3. "In June 2005, despite strong opposition from the Catholic Church, Spain legalized gay marriage."

4. "About 40 percent of Spaniards between the ages of 17 and 24 are smokers." I'm willing to bet this is a much higher statistic.

5. Drivers in Barcelona are among the worst in the world. On weekdays an accident happens every 19 seconds and on the weekends every 10 seconds. What?? There are worse drivers than Texas??

6. Spaniards gave Florida its name.

7. "A typical schedule for clubbers going to Ibiza includes waking at noon, early evening naps, late night clubbing, and "disco sunrises."' OOH Disco Sunrise! I can't wait. Kelsey, do you think it's it similar to a Disco Shower?

8. Ibizians have a "notable tolerance toward misbehavior from young adult tourists."

  1. Please don’t meet a lesbian in one of the 100,000 bars you are going to and get married and contract AIDS. Because then you will start smoking with her and get in a taxi and get in an accident driving through Barcelona. Then you are going to meet people who hear you are from the USA and start bragging about how they named Florida (lame.. I know, but no other way to fit it in!) and then force you to go to a disco sunrise, which I kinda hope is like a disco shower!, and then because you can get away with it you are going to misbehave like the young adult tourist you are.

I just don’t think you should go to Spain.. sketchy things will happen!
