Lately I got to thinking about relationships, what was good and bad about them, how to be practical in a relationship, etc. Mainly I got to thinking because I am in one. But what I didn't stop to consider was tying up those loose ends; basically the guys I was dating or engaging with before. So I'm slowly working on this now.
Starting with Dallas guy...he's been texting me pretty frequently. Especially when he's been drunk. Telling me he likes me and wants to be together and if I was in Dallas it'd "be over." Not really sure what that means, but ok. Also he keeps speaking in German. Have I told him yet that I'm in a relationship? No! I didn't have the heart. But I should probably do that soon so I can stop being a terrible person.
Bike boy texted me to hang out. And called me. I told him I had a boyfriend. He said "right on." Then he texted me "hahaha." WTF? Then he texted me apologizing.
Peruvian guy! He texted me to hang out so I did. Explained I had a boyfriend and that I just wanted to be friends. In my mind, it was reasonable we could be friends since whatever we "had" before was just casual dating. Turns out he had feelings for me and got upset. He told me to take care.
Brazilian guy kept texting me to hang out. After going the ignoring route, I just told him straight up. He laughed at me too. What's with all the laughing guys?
British guy. I met him in Ibizza when I went to Spain in June. He called me this past Saturday to catch up and see how I was doing. We had a pretty good long conversation, though the entire conversation was a mighty struggle to understand his accent. Perhaps being wasted before actually made it easier. We had a running joke that he kind of looks like Adam Levine. I joked that if he started looking more and more like Adam Levine I'd come visit him. He joked that he would get plastic surgery. He's in England, it's just innocent flirtation! I probably won't hear from him again right?
Now that being said, I'm navigating new waters. They may be rocky sometimes. I hope my ship is solid. Maybe I should get a pirate hat. Har ha har.
